The entire stage runs on level terrain with firm ground and the entire stage is accessible with a wheelchair and pram and is the Skåneleden's first fully graded green stage.
In the north, at the Spillepeng outdoor area, you will find the species-rich coastal meadows. The grazing of the coastal meadows together with the regular flooding of salty sea water, has meant that over the centuries a special salt meadow vegetation has developed with a diversity of plants and insects, some of which are unusual. Many birds stay on the shore meadows and in the shallow water, where they find plenty of food in the form of mussels and worms, among other things. On Tågarp's heath, between March and late summer, we find nesting pairs of Burlöv's municipal bird, the sheared spot, which can be recognized by the long, upturned black bill and its light blue legs. In order to protect sensitive nature and bird life, the coastal meadows have been made into a reserve and during the birds' nesting period, trespassing on the meadows is prohibited.
Take a tour up to the information boards at the top of Spillepeng for a nice view of Lommabukten, as well as an exciting contrast between the oil port and the species-rich meadows of Tågarp Hed.
Arlöv's growth is strongly linked to the construction of the Sugar Mill in 1869 and the construction of the railway station in 1871.
In the southern part of the stretch towards Bulltofta, you pass Arlövgården and the golf course. Arlövgården's park is located like an island, surrounded by open landscape, which in the south and west is made up of the golf course area. The area has a, for the municipality, rich flora and fauna. Past Granbacken, which is an old burial ground but which now functions as a recreation area with a theater and outdoor stage, you reach Arlövgården. Arlövgården was formed in 1789 by merging several farms and was once one of the country's most highly productive farms.
When Skåneleden enters the city of Malmö, you pass the Sege å, which flows all the way from Trelleborg municipality to Malmö. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of one of our most striking birds, the kingfisher, which in its colorful plumage can be seen scouting for fish in the river.
Farthest north on the stretch through Burlöv municipality is the Tågarp heath with its coastal meadows, which have an interesting natural and cultural history as they have been grazed since the Bronze Age. Beach meadows have decreased continuously over the years, but only about 150 years ago, almost the entire Öresund coast consisted of common grazing land, so-called outland.

About Difficulty Grading
The grading is tailored for Swedish lowland trails that adhere to the quality criteria established by the national framework for hiking trails.
Even and firm ground: The terrain is generally flat. The hike requires no need to use your hands for support. No obstacles. Bridges are always present when crossing waterways.
Uneven and/or soft ground: Some changes in elevation. Certain sections may require hand support to maintain balance. There may be obstacles such as low stiles and short stairs. Minor obstacles like stones and roots. Boardwalks are present.
Loose or slippery ground combined with steep sections: Technical parts require hand support. There may be obstacles such as high stiles and longer stairs. Frequent sections with stones and/or roots. Boardwalks with deeper surrounding water.
