The stage offers hiking in Scania's wilderness. Experience one of Skåne's largest lakes, old quarries and a walking area for children.
Immeln is called the lake of legends and for several hundred years the people who lived around the lake have told about mysterious events and encounters with supernatural beings.
The lake offers swimming opportunities, good fishing and is one of Sweden's best lakes for paddling. Immeln is a deep lake with clear water and a rocky bottom. Many islands, coves and skerries make it an exciting fishing environment where you can fish for pike, perch, bream, tench and whitefish.
In northeastern Scania, various types of stone have been quarried since the 19th century. The diabase quarries are perhaps the best known, but other types of rock have also been mined and then shipped out into the world. Around the village of Immeln are several abandoned crimes. Around Immeln there are several local hiking trails, including the Stenrundan (5.2 km) which tells about the black diabase and the history of the railway. At Immeln there are three campsites by the lake, with firewood, toilet and wind protection as well as a place to grill.
In Sibbhult there is Barnens Skog, a walking area for children with a nature playground and a campsite with shelter from the wind. Once in Sibbhult, you must not miss the Lapidary by the church and the Stone Museum, which displays stones from the area and its grinding. In Sibbhult there is also a grocery store, pizzeria and bus stop.
