The stage offers hiking in the wilderness of Skåne. Experience one of Skåne's largest lakes, old quarries, and a nature area for children.
Immeln is known as the lake of legends, where for centuries people living around it have shared tales of mysterious events and encounters with supernatural beings. The lake offers swimming opportunities, excellent fishing, and is one of Sweden's best lakes for paddling. Immeln is a deep lake with clear water and a rocky bottom, featuring many islands, islets, and reefs that create an exciting fishing environment for catching pike, perch, bream, tench, and whitefish.
In northeastern Skåne, various types of stone have been quarried since the 1800s. While diabase quarries are perhaps the most famous, other types of stone have also been extracted and shipped worldwide. Several disused quarries surround the village of Immeln, with several local hiking trails, including the Stenrundan (5.2 km), which explores the history of the black diabase and the railway. There are three camping sites by the lake at Immeln, equipped with firewood, toilets, shelters, and barbecue facilities.
In Sibbhult, explore Barnens Skog, a nature area for children with a playground and camping site with shelters. Don't miss the Stone Museum, showcasing stones from the region and their craftsmanship. Sibbhult also offers a grocery store and bus stop for convenience.
