Along paths you walk on undulating slopes with breathtaking views of old grazing landscapes, lush beech forest and valleys.

Maglehem is located among Österlen's undulating slopes with Stenshuvud and Hanö Bay as a background. From the square in Maglehem, the trail continues its way out onto forest roads and through a pasture landscape with rolling slopes and breathtaking views.

Through the Kumlan and Drakamöllan nature reserves, you will walk past extensive grass heaths, unique sand steppe environments and lush beech forest. There is also the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the yellow-black bird, golden oriole, which likes to stay in the deciduous forest areas and along the river.

Paths and old dirt roads make the area easily accessible to explore, for example by combining the Skåneleden with the local loop Blåvingeleden.

As you are getting closer to Brösarp, the well-known slopes, shaped by the melting inland ice, await. The cowslips will bloom in the spring and the steam train rolls through the undulating landscape. The views are magnificent, with a long view of the Verkeån valley. The most famous slopes are the southern and northern ones, but if you look around you soon discover that the hilly landscape surrounds the entire village in all directions. In Brösarp there are shops, accommodation and a bus station.

Fence crossings and grazing animals can make it difficult to walk with a dog on this stage.

About Difficulty Grading

The grading is tailored for Swedish lowland trails that adhere to the quality criteria established by the national framework for hiking trails.

Even and firm ground: The terrain is generally flat. The hike requires no need to use your hands for support. No obstacles. Bridges are always present when crossing waterways.

Uneven and/or soft ground: Some changes in elevation. Certain sections may require hand support to maintain balance. There may be obstacles such as low stiles and short stairs. Minor obstacles like stones and roots. Boardwalks are present.

Loose or slippery ground combined with steep sections: Technical parts require hand support. There may be obstacles such as high stiles and longer stairs. Frequent sections with stones and/or roots. Boardwalks with deeper surrounding water.

Note: One or more of these features may be present along the trail section.
